Keeping the dream alive
I use my iPhone as an alarm clock.
Actually, it’s more like I use my iPhone to wake up my wife, who then gets irritated and wakes me up.
This morning, after the aforementioned process, Debbie handed me my phone, I hit the snooze button, and put it down on the table next to my head.
Ten minutes later, the alarm went off again – not realizing that I had the phone, I simply waited for Debbie to hit the snooze.
Both of us were tired enough to think that the other person had the phone, and it wasn’t until Debbie had said something that I realized I had it.
She turned to me sleepily and said,
“You have the Avocado.”
…
I opened my eyes, smiled at her, rolled over and hit the snooze button one more time.
I come to find out at breakfast that as she handed me the phone this morning, she had dreamt that she was handing me an Avocado, and had logically thought that the phone and avocado were somehow related.
Awesome.
I know I’ve said some pretty ridiculous things in the space between sleep and consciousness, what about you?
What’s your Avocado?

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
